About Me
Hey! I often go by many handles, but sponge or aether are my two go-to aliases.
I'm a computer engineer and software developer in the early stages of his career (just a few years in). I have a bachelors in Computer Science and am pursuing a Master's in Computer Engineering. All that education so I can get closer to large scale embedded systems, largely in the aerospace sector. Despite all of that, I really adore software development and hardware hobbies because anybody can get into it. I've always enjoyed building software, hardware, or mixed projects. I can't describe it well, but it tickles the 'tism in a way that few other things do. From an ESP32 with a camera for detecting bald people, a cat that walks around windows taskbars, to all sorts of TUIs, I clearly just let my brain take me where it will with all of my projects.
Outside of tech, I'm a big fan of writing, gaming, baking, and spending time outside. Mixed with random tech blogposts, you'll probably see me post a recipe or two that I really enjoyed.
This site isn't anything serious, more of a fun medium to share some things I'm working on / thinking with friends, coworkers, and the occasional stranger.
If I ever decide to make public projects, you can find me on GitHub.
Trying something new: Starting to get a greater feel for zig. I got some thoughts, might write a blog and send it into the ether.
Reading: Finally dipping my toes into the mistborn series. It's all my friends tell me to read. you know who you are.
